Well sculptors and mould makers need to make some money sorry we can't give our stuff away. GW provide really good products and with out them the rest of us would be ruined.

Alan Bligh of Forge World writes:

Hi!

They say that good things come in threes, and this week at Forge World is no exception with three new linked releases - the Centaur Artillery Tractor, the Imperial Guard Heavy Mortar, and the Death Korps of Krieg Artillery Crew - and while any one is a great addition to your forces, the combination of all three will allow you to brutally pound the enemies of the Imperium into the mud!

Fresh Off The Forges!

Centaur Artillery Tractor

The first of the forthcoming variants of our new Centaur chassis is the Centaur Artillery Tractor. The Centaur is our brand-new light armoured vehicle, and the fruition of those concept sketches many of you will have seen at various Games Days and events. Visually recognisable as being from the same design 'family' as the Chimera and Leman Russ, the Centaur has been created to fill numerous roles as a small armoured transport, hauler and weapons carrier.

Specifically, the Centaur Artillery Tractor is designed to manoeuvre and deploy light artillery in the field, and this model of the Centaur comes with a Death Korps crew, a pintle-mounted heavy stubber, and a three-man battery crew onboard. In addition to the vehicle and men, the kit also comes with a plethora of extra gear and a purpose-built dozer-blade, and is the perfect counterpart to the new Heavy Mortar (which you can see below).

In terms of quality and detail, this is a fantastic kit with a lot of character, and I'm sure it'll find a place in a great many collections and armies.

Product Code IA-GUA-T-082p
Price: £32.00 GBP

The Emperor's Chorus

Heavy mortar

Released as part of the Death Korps range, but equally at home in any Imperial Guard army with a penchant for raining death down on the heads of their enemies, is our new Heavy Mortar. Rather than be mounted on a vehicle (such as a Griffon), these mortars are field artillery, crewed by Guardsmen and employed in artillery units. So, if dropping a cluster of ordnance templates on your opponent's battle line sounds tempting, then a battery of these Heavy Mortars is for you.

As for the model itself, the Heavy Mortar shows all the attention to detail and you'd expect from us, with a heavy-duty carriage, shell cases and numerous realistic features. What's more they look as cold and brutal as their function demands.

Experimental rules for both the Heavy Mortar and the Centaur Artillery Tractor can be found here.

Manning the Guns

Artillery crew

The third in our trinity of releases are the Death Korps of Krieg Artillery Crew. This three-man team, with additional shells and equipment, works perfectly with our new Heavy Mortar. As you can see from these pictures, they can also easily be used or converted to serve on our other artillery tanks, emplacements and the like.

When are these models available?

The Death Korps Centaur Artillery Tractor, Heavy Mortar and Death Korps Artillery Crew are all available to pre-order now, and will be released for us to send out week commencing the 27th of November.

To make life a little simpler for the artillery lovers out there, we have made several combinations of Centaurs, mortars and crew, so that you can easily create entire Death Korps light artillery batteries.
