Hi. In the USA these figs are easily avaialble from Squadron dot com. They are on sale for $3.92 USD for the Cavalry set and $4.92 USD for the Infantry set. I picked up about 8 more packs. Easily the cheapest Samurai available in any scale. I would also say they are some of the nicest.
B&B can fill things out. The plastics in Samurai Swords can provide more Ashigaru (I have about 2000 of those). I have maybe 4-500 20mm-1/72 already done. I will be using KK.

Thanks,

John

Brian Bradford of HMGS PSW writes:

Killer Katanas 2 is a set of wargame rules for recreating the battles of Sengoku Japan. The first edition was put out back in 1995, and now some 10 years later, this second edition has been revised and updated using the latest historical information available to myself, with the assistance of Terje Solum and Dr. Stephen Turnbull.

Killer Katanas II

The goal of KK2 is to allow larger battles of the samurai to be fought.

It was written for use with 15mm figures, but it can be easily played with 6mm or 25mm by adjusting the method of measurement (the rules include how to do this).

Included in the 120-page book are army lists and rules for clans so that a player can recreate their favorite Daimyo's army on the tabletop, game uses for 22 tactical battle formations, ability ratings for over 500 Daimyo, siege rules, a scenario generator and 10 scenarios:

  • 4th Kawanakajima
  • 2nd Konodai
  • Mimasetoge
  • Nunobeyama
  • Anegawa
  • Mikatagahara
  • Nagashino
  • Okitanawate
  • Hitotori Bridge, and
  • Sekigahara

The scale is 1 base equals 150 men on foot or 75 mounted, and the ground scale is 1" to 100 feet. A larger scale is provided for titanic battles. Armies based to WRG, DBM or DBR can use the rules with no rebasing.

The rules sell for $35 USD (plus postage), and can be obtained from Amazon.com, Heritage Studios, Cavalier Books, or by emailing me at BBradford1973@aol.com.
