A New Program Where You Determine What We Make!

Liberty and Union League - Custom Hard-Plastic Miniature Sprues

Wargames Factory is a company by and for wargamers. We want to make the figures you want. It's not enough to put up some polls on subjects we "think" you're interested in - we want you to be involved from the very beginning. We want you to be at the center of the process, watching and giving your input and feedback at every step along the way - from concept, to designs, through actual sculpture and sprue design. And, at the end, we want you to get exactly what you've asked for.

The Liberty and Union League is the way we're going to achieve this...

So What's It All About?

Let's say you want miniatures that nobody makes. Or the figures are only available at prices beyond your own hobby budget. Or they're not quite "exactly" what you had in mind.

What if you could club together with people from all over the world to commission your choices and get them made, at an inexpensive price for high quality hard-plastic miniatures?

We borrowed this concept from our friend Nic Robson's 100 and 300 Clubs at Eureka Miniatures. Where Eureka produces metal miniatures, Wargames Factory will produce hard-plastic sprues of miniatures. The start-up cost for plastic-injection mold tooling is very high so a company needs to sell thousands of sprues just to break even. But we've determined that if we can get 100 people to commit to purchase a total of 1,000 sprues between them, then it makes sense for us to start production.

"What's the catch?" we hear you ask… there is none! That's what's great about this.

  1. You make your suggestions, we put them up on the site, and those who want to see those figures created make a no-money-down pre-order for them.
  2. We'll monitor each Liberty and Union League suggestion, keeping lists of what's almost ready for production (The Hit List), what's garnering a lot of interest (The Bullet List), and what needs some support to keep its prospects alive (The Bucket List).
  3. When we hit 500 sprues pre-ordered, we'll start to show work-in-progress shots of the miniatures, elicit your feedback, and make any changes.
  4. Then, once the number of customers and sprue pre-orders reaches 100 and 1,000 respectively, we reconfirm the pre-orders and take a $1.00 USD/sprue deposit prior to starting production.
  5. When the sprues are ready, we charge the balance and ship them out to you!

It's pretty simple actually. Oh, and there are prizes for those who submit a 'winning submission!' If your suggestion makes it through the process and becomes a hard plastic sprue, you'll win ten copies of that sprue free along with a $100 USD Wargames Factory gift certificate. Not to mention the adoration of your fellow wargamers!

Why the name "Liberty and Union League?" It comes from the earliest days of the American Revolution, when citizens of one New England town joined to proclaim their solidarity and their hopes for the future. Wargames Factory is a New England-based company, and we hope to make that spirit of a 'town assembly' with regular folks speaking their minds, the core of what we do as a company.
