Supply Chain Delays
With CV affecting workers again, I would recommend shipping UPS until this surge subsides. The post seems to be affected more when Covid waves hit.
We have had some resupply issues with some manufacturers, and we are hoping that resolved shortly. We have been receiving restocks from our casters every few days. We have a boatload of new readi-ship items arriving imminently.
Large International Parcels
Note that if your total shipment weighs over 2 pounds, if I may have an option of sending the shipment UPS for a similar cost, you will get an email from me. UPS will be potentially much faster, 3-5 days typically vs a quoted timeframe of 15+ days for the U.S.P.S. (Post). If you do not respond to my emails in a reasonable time, the shipment will go by U.S.P.S. post. If UPS is the only option, if it is a higher cost I will of course ask. It appears the the increase in cost is for the lower weight parcels as there is a floor cost that is higher than the post costs, but then that appears to level off. Of course, the benefit is UPS is a faster service.
Update Regarding Australian & NZ Shipments
Note that there still is a Covid impact on Australian and NZ shipments as Australian and NZ Customs has put a hold on any incoming first class and priority mail shipments due to Covid. We still do not have the ability to purchase post office postage and ship these parcels and we are checking daily. In the meantime these parcels will be waiting for that change.
In many cases I can use UPS for these shipments. If I can, you will be contacted by me by email for approval if there is an additional cost (there will definitely be an additional cost for parcels under 2 pounds weight.)
As all the carriers have had restrictions placed, it is difficult to know the exact postage when calculating the estimate in the store. There are widely variable rates and service levels available.
I will recommend that you add to your shipment if I can ship it by UPS or DHL. The U.S. Post is only accepting Express Mail parcels (think UPS 2-3 day/FedEx 2-3 day pricing, but it takes much longer.)
Update
It appears some international parcel services have started to accept parcels for Australia and NZ and are adding these parcels into their other package shipments coming from outside the U.S.A. and have similar shipping times to the U.S. Post. Once the consolidated shipment arrives in the destination country, the parcels are then added to the delivery network. I am still working on getting this option setup and will start the process of utilizing these alternative services to get shipments on the way. These will be a bit more expensive and you will be contacted by me by email for approval if there is an additional cost (there will definitely be an additional cost for parcels under 2 pounds weight.) In most cases, I will offer you an option of the services available if UPS are also available.
