Pools of saliva are threatening to short-circuit my laptop keyboard. Of course the French are a must have to a Napoleonic afficianado like me.

But that castle… I have just got back from a visit to Hirosaki castle in Aomori, and be damned if I come back to see its double in resin. I do not have the space, money, or figures to justify it.

Not that that has stopped me in the past.

Alan Perry of Perry Miniatures writes:

Here's a few pictures I've been taking over the weekend... as it's been nice and sunny.

Approaching the castle

The castle was very kindly given to us by our Spanish friends from Atlantica Juegos at Salute. The roof and each section comes off to reveal interior detail and ladders. The very talented Adolfo Ramos built and painted it. I understand there have been seven resined so far, but if you would like one they will resin them to order, just go to atlanticajuegos.com.

Close-up

The other buildings in the pictures are mostly from John Jenkins' range.

Troops and castle

The figures in the pictures were painted by Chris Adcock and El Mercenario.

Castle

There'll be more pictures of this up on our site soon, in the gallery of our Samurai range.

The French are coming!

By the end of this week, we should have the first 13 codes of 28mm French Napoleonics 1815. Watch this space...
