It's been a bit quiet lately, but we have some shiny new toys for the VSF gamer today

First up is something quite exciting - 2mm infantry in line and skirmish formation, sculpted by the inestimable Jeremey (Germy Bugger ) Claridge. Instead of making blocks of multiple-figure ranks, we've opted for a single rank that you can array to create whatever formation you desire. These sell in packs of twelve strips for £1.50 GBP. In addition, there are five larger packs. The British and German armoured infantry packs each contain enough strips to make up a full battalion plus sufficient troop-carrying contraptions to transport them, along with bases. There are also British, Russian and German infantry regiments with sufficient strips and bases for a full regiment.

British 100-man companies are organised with four strips on a standard 40x20mm base, so a battalion consists of 32 strips mounted on eight bases. A regiment has two battalions.
German 150-man companies have six strips on a base, with four companies to a battalion and three battalions in a regiment.
Russian 200-man companies each have two bases of four strips. Like the Germans, there are four companies to a battalion and three battalions in a regiment. In addition, each battalion has a rifle company which is often combined into a fourth battalion.
These are so hot off the press that I don't yet have painted photos up on the website, but I have my brushes primed and ready to go over the weekend.
Obviously, we sell these as part of our Land Ironclads range, but at 2mm scale they will serve as generic figures for any horse-and-musket period. And to head off the first of the obvious questions, yes, we are intending to add cavalry and artillery crew to the range.
If this wasn't enough, we also have two contraption types available for the Russians, plus a contraption battalion pack.
Last, and by no means least, Baron von Richthofen can finally take to the VSF skies in the Dreidecker aircraft - this new Aeronef plane comes in packs of six.
