Howdy!
I know what is happening this weekend. Troops are getting a final inspection, game boxes are readied, and gamers are looking for a friend with a fuel-efficient car. It is a shame we will have to hit the mad money set aside for the dealer room just to put gas in the car. If there is a lighter side to this fuel situation, just think how much it will cost to get to ATC this year! We Northerners might be ahead to rent a bus and just circle around Michigan and pick everyone up!

OK, back to Drums. We are ready for a great weekend. All of the dealers have checked in, and I have had no games cancel.
Remember, we will have ample room for your Flea Market stuff because there are built-in countertops in the gaming area. Plus we will have extra tables along the sides of the room.
The schedule this year is full for the early sessions, but we will have room in the evening both days for some pick-up games. A few suggestions: Wings of War, Flames of War, DBA or .....? We have the building each night till Midnight, but the museum and giftshop will close at 5pm.
I know everyone will enjoy the new historic location. Just think that the ground you stand on was targeted by British artillery set up on the other side of the Maumee River. In the back of the museum is a small display case which holds an explosive shell that was recovered from the ground under the Visitor Center. The shell hit the mud and went deep before it exploded. They were able to recover all of the pieces of the shell, which is never possible under normal circumstances.
So, is Fort Meigs a great place? Sure. Is Drums 9 going to be fun? You bet. OK, that's it for the last call. I hope to see many of you next weekend!
