Please lads leave you're old bags behind – take a leaf from wargames supremo collector Bill Gaskin and bring a good looking one with you instead ;-)

Partizanmeister SloppyJalopy of The Other Partizan writes:

The Other Partizan is rapidly approaching, being next weekend, Sunday, 7th September at Kelham Hall, Newark, Notts, U.K. As usual, we have a splendid collection of traders and games, including contributions from the Perry Twins and Aly Morrison. As usual, all our gamers will be showing off the most aesthetically pleasing games on the circuit.

The Other Partizan

For several years now, we have given out a plastic carrier bag to the first five hundred through the door. In line with the environmental trend in the U.K. towards encouraging use of reusable bags, we have decided that we will no longer do this, but will encourage people to bring their own bags. We're pretty sure that most traders will be able to sort you something out if you forget! We are also encouraging responsible rucksack usage. Not particularly encouraging people to use rucksacks (a nice hessian bag from Oxfam is greener after all), just reminding those who do use them to remember that they are now a different shape, especially when trying to squeeze through tight spots, or turning around suddenly. grin

We will, of course, still be giving out a free figure to the first five hundred (along with money-off vouchers and the famous high quality programme). This show features Harold the Hero, loosely based on silent movie star Harold Lloyd - he is ideal for rescuing the unfortunate victim from the villain, our May figure. This has again been sculpted by the talented Matt Bickley, and is so hot out the mould that we do not yet have a painted example to shoe you. Sorry...
