Kingsford Miniatures writes:

We have just sent eight sculpts to the casters. These 28mm sculpts will augment the existing sets: Ashigaru At Ease, Ashigaru Archers, and create a new Sohei Archers set.

Ashigaru at ease
Ashigaru archer
Sohei archer

All figures are designed for the Sengoku-Jidai period. The four Sohei are wearing robes with a hint of armour worn beneath. They have tachi, quivers, yumi and even prayer beads attached to the figure. This should minimize time to get these fellows painted and on to the table!

We're also trying to make some horo (arrow catchers) in resin. The reason for this is we'd like the horo to be as historically accurate as possible - which means big! But we don't want to topple the figures over, so we are trying a lightweight resin to make this accessory.

Expected release date is September.

If you're going to be at Historicon between July 8-11th, 2010, Cavalcade Wargames will be there with their entire stock of Kingsford Miniatures.
