I was wondering about that? Mixed pairs is a new concept for DBA. A number of years ago at the big HMGS East conventions We had big battle doubles games. Two players on a side. I don't recall there ever being anything other than to male players. I wonder what would happen if we had held a mixed pairs competition? Probably get in trouble with the PC crowd if we tried to say that Mixed pair was a team of Man and woman :)

Anyway, a nice report. I believe that matched pairs is the best way to play DBA. No strange matches of Sumerians versus Burgundians.

Bakewell DBA Tourny

Alternative Armies donated prizes to the Bakewell Club for the 2019 Mixed Pairs DBA event. It was our pleasure to do this, and you can click through for details and to get the full article of results. We produce several ranges of 15mm scale historicals, from Dark Age to American Civil War.
