We've wanted pictures of painted minis for the shopping cart for a while. We've always had it on our "to do" list … unfortunately, none of us in the office are A) any good at painting miniatures, or B) have the time.

Then we saw a bunch of our customers painting up minis and we went, "Hey…"

Here's what we're offering:

  1. Each week we'll offer prizes for the best photo of a particular painted miniature or fleet box.
  2. If you win for painting up the entire contents of a fleet box, we'll give you store credit of $40 USD. (Label the ship in the file name or in your email.)
  3. If you win for painting up a single ship, and give us a clearly labeled picture of what it is, we'll give you $2 USD in store credit.
  4. Yes, you can double dip—paint up your fleet box and then snap individual shots of the minis for the singletons.
  5. If you mount the minis on Ninja Magic magnetic adapters) (even if not shown at an angle), the prizes go to $60 USD and $3 USD respectively.

Send your photos to pr@adastragames.com; we will award prizes to one entrant for each ship class, and will spotlight a different ship class each week. We'll pick winners at our sole discretion based on how well painted the miniature is and how usable the photograph is in our webstore.

Pictures of fleet boxes should be no more than 1024 by 786, and pictures of small single ships should be no more than 800 by 600, while pictures of the superdreadnoughts can be larger (1024 by 786). Minimum sizes are up to you, but they have to show enough detail for us to use them in our Web store. File format must be PNG, GIF, or JPEG.

Please shoot them against a neutral-colored background, and please don't Photoshop them into a star background — we want people to be able to go "Oooh!" at the pictures. Please don't add any text to the photo.

The First Contests!
