Games Workshop: Incoming! Daemons

Back to Hobby News

Farstar writes:

Chaos Space Marines which will allow specific daemons rather than generic (with both Thorpe and Alessio gone now since they wrote the last version).

I suspect the genero-daemons of the CSM Codex had more to do with the schedule of releases than the wishes of the authors. GW knew they had a major daemons re-write in the works, but it was still too far from complete when the CSM were due. Instead of pushing the Daemons to completion, they half-arsed the CSM book.

Yes I do know for a fact that in the UK, Daemons are the worst selling army for both WHFB and 40k.

Widely considered to have been screwed up badly for both games. Bizarro for 40k and OTT powerful for WFB in multiple game-breaking ways that 8th edition does not look like it will fix.

Games Workshop writes:

In August, the immortal legions of the Ruinous Powers - the Chaos Daemons - will pour forth once more from the Realm of Chaos to drown the Warhammer world and the galaxy of the 41st Millennium beneath a tide of blood and destruction. Even now, mystics are assailed by nightmarish visions of horror and death, the fractured minds of madmen echo with sibilant whispers, and the doomed clutch symbols of their weak gods closer to them.

Daemons

A host of incredible new Citadel miniatures for both Warhammer 40,000 Chaos Daemons armies and Warhammer Daemons of Chaos armies will soon be released upon mortal battlefields.

Daemons

All will be revealed in July on the Games Workshop website, and in August's issue of White Dwarf magazine, so keep an eye out for more information.
