Fire Team Vietnam Règles en Français

Fire Vietnam Team is a wargame that is played with hexagonal game boards and tokens and markers. Nothing prevents you from using figurines (1:144 or 1:285 in) instead of pawns.

The period represented is the Vietnam War from 1965 to 1975. This is a tactical-level game because the scale is a set of hexagons 25mm (side to side) representing five meters, the pieces represent teams of one to three soldiers, and a game turn is one minute.

The Principle is that Game:
Teams (named Team in the game) are part of a Combat Group (Squad) to which the Group Leader (Squad Leader) receives Orders (Patrol, Assault, Defense…). Of these orders, the Action Teams receive a result Order (selectable Player) for this Game Turn. These are semi-action orders for the two concurrent adverse players in the game turn (Crawling, Running, Bond, Cover…). We must therefore make a choice: take a shot? move? take cover? identify the enemy before he spots you!

You will find in the download these PDF files to print:

  • The Game Rules, Basic Infantry (in French). (44 pages)
  • Tables to determine movements, Shots, Morale, etc. (18 pages)
  • The counters and markers (17 pages) (U.S. Army and North Vietnam Army (NVA) in 1965)
  • Some scenarios (10 pages)
In another lot on Wargame Vault:
You will find more than 72 game boards representing the land (elephant grass, forest…).

The Fire Vietnam Team rules represent the basic rules of a game series on the same scale to represent the fighting on other places and other times (Indochinese War, Afghanistan, and etc… égalemnt WWII), this series I call Fire Team series.

But before that, the rules are version V.1.0 and are not fixed. So if you have problems? You have any questions? I've created a forum to discuss.

The Rules Are Arranged by chapters:

  • Chapter A = Infantry Base
  • Chapter B = The Lands of Vietnam.

And Coming in Extensions (All Depend on the Success of Basic Rules!):

  • Chapter C = Artillery and Aerial Support
  • Chapter D = Vehicles and Tanks
  • Chapter E = Helicopters
  • Chapter F = Mekong Delta powerboats, Monitors…

These chapters will also include gameboards and Team pawns and materials referring to it.

Hoping you will like this series – feel free to ask questions!
