The pike in Max! are really the renaissance pike blocks rather than the elements of a regiment which came later.

You would use multi-stand formations and keep the rules as is. A Swedish Brigade, essentially a notional unit of 3 battalions, would be 2 pike stands and 2-4 shot stands.

And Imperial Tercio would be 4 pike stands and 4 shot stands.

A Spanish Tercio would still be 6 pike and 6 shot.

There would have to be rules for keeping stands together. That should not be too hard.

BTW, the figures above follow the scale suggested in Max.
