"Wishing him all the best but do we really want medical bulletins on this page? Blimey. We'll be having news announcements about divorces, weddings, dental appointments, chiropodists and everything else."

I'm going to hazard a guess that the reason why it is being announced is not only because of letting industry friends know, but to also alert any companies that they do business with in case there are any slow-downs in production. Iron Wind Metals does Classic Battletech miniatures, fantasy miniatures, and a lot of contract casting for other gaming companies. IWM is a small, close-knit company that is too busy with not enough people, so the loss of one person for back surgery is going to make things rough there for a while. Everyone I met there when I visted them a couple of months ago was very kind and generous, and above all busy. So not only should we wish a good recovery to the patient, but to all of Iron Wind Metals.

Good luck on the recovery.

This is to inform or remind you that I am having spinal-fusion surgery on my lower back this Friday, November 4th. The surgery is fairly routine, but the recovery process is rather slow.

Spinal-fusion surgery

I will be away from the shop from this evening through at least December 1st, when I have my first follow-up with my neurosurgeon.

I will be in daily contact with the shop, at least after the 1st week or so, when I will most likely be a very heavily medicated grouch who just wants to be left alone...

During my absence, my factory manager (and brother) Rick Noe will be running things here. He will be checking my e-mail regularly, but for anything important please contact him directly.

Cell Phone: 513-290-5918

I will get in touch when I am back and running again.
