Wooden Railway Track Released

It looks interesting, certainly. I am confused, though. It is called a "wooden railway track," but seems to be 3d printed, so it clearly isn't wooden itself. Is it meant to look like the early railways with wooden rails and horse drawn carts, one of which I think was on the Preston Pans battlefield back in 1745?

In part, I suppose I am just used to iron rails, but those probably didn't come along until after steam locomotives that were heavier, could pull heavier loads, that would tear up the wooden rails quickly. Even after steam locomotives, wooden rails would have been useful in lighter duty projects.
