Playable Napoleonic Wargames

Barry Edwards writes to tell us that his Playable Napoleonic Wargames rules are not out of print (as we had incorrectly reported).

Barry Edwards

From the back cover of the rulesbook:

Barry Edwards is a Lecturer, Author and Linguist who has degrees in Mathematics, Statistics and Spanish. He is a well-known wargamer whose credits include being one of the first 25 members of the Society of Ancients and a large, historically-wide figures collection which is often featured in the pages of Miniature Wargames. Formerly a lecturer at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, the Peninsular War is one of his main interests. Last year he visited Badajoz, Ciudad Rodrigo and the battlefield of Salamanca to do research.

This book is a serious attempt to return to the fun of wargaming. It contains complete rules for British and French Napoleonic wargames, campaign rules for a Peninsular War campaign, and a two-page map for use in the campaign. There are many high quality illustrations as well as background and explanations.
