Any day now, the new Pieces of Eight rules will be released by Peter Pig.
The first edition of these rules goes back to about 1992. In those days, we used 15mm ships from the likes of SDD. Also some converted big-size Airfix ones too (remember those?). Also a very large table!
Second edition used 1:450th scale ships for sea fights and 15mm figures for land raids. These came out in 2000. As is usual, we update rules every ten years (roughly).
This new edition is lovely. Sea fights in 1:450th on a 5 x 3 hexed table. Lots of maneuver. Land raids in 15 or 28mm. Gridded (PP signature). Six square x four square grid. A nice small table. 6" squares for 15mm and 8" (or whatever you like) for 28mm.
