Most can't. In my state, you are considered below the poverty line, if you make less than 15$ per hour. However, if you are a stay at home mom/or dad, it might not be a bad gig if you are able to fit it in when the kids are at school. Also, I do know that some of the mid-western states have job shortages. Then again, you can probably buy an acre of land for a few hundred dollars out in the west. In my area, and acre would cost you at least 150K and then some depending upon where exactly it was located.

The Little Shop of Magic seeks a qualified individual to fill a part-time Customer Service Representative position in our store in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Job Description

Customer Service Representative responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Greeting our clientele and ensuring that they receive a positive and pleasant shopping experience.
  • Operate our point of sale systems.
  • Receive merchandise, contact special order customers and handle inventory.
  • Process and ship online orders.
  • Clean and recover our brick-and-mortar store.
  • Update and maintain our website and online store.
  • Occasionally attend local conventions.

Candidate Requirements

Ideal candidates should demonstrate the following qualities:

  • A charming personality and an upbeat demeanor.
  • Ability to distinguish the difference between work and play.
  • A positive attitude and the ability to work within a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
  • Ability to interact professionally with team members and external publics.

Compensation

The base pay rate for a Customer Service Representative position at the Little Shop of Magic is $8 USD per hour, which may be adjusted upwards based on performance during the trial period. This base salary may be supplemented by an annual bonus based on company performance and the representative's part in achieving said performance.

The Little Shop of Magic provides access to health and dental insurance, along with an employee discount plan.
