Marc plastics fan apology accepted. I am a plastics fan as well as metal but I much prefer plastics as I can convert figures easily. If one of the top mini manufacturers brought out suitable ranges metal or plastic (particularly lesser German states Baden Foot etc I would snap them up!).

Griefbringer I wasn't aware of the Hat Bavarians will have to have a look at them.

Bavarians are nearly as popular as French and Austrians which they should be. Front Rank do Bavarians and I believe they have announced they are doing Wurttembergers 1807 – 1812 so who knows if Front Rank are doing Bavarian, Wurttembergers….they or others might do other states too such as Hesse Darmstadt, Baden even, who knows, but here's hoping.

These Perry's British Hussars are possibly the best on the market and the potential for conversions are huge. Thank you Perry's for another excellent (and speedy release)!

It's been a while since we were last here, but it's nice to be back. We have been quite busy while we've been away (more of that later), but to start, we are pleased to announce that our new plastic Napoleonic British Hussars are here!!

Most pre-orders should have been received by now - if not, they're on their way.

Hussars

British Napoleonic Hussars 1808-1815

Hussars

The box contains 14 hussars, including an officer and a trumpeter. There are five variants of head gear in the box (all figures have the variants), which will allow you to make up British, King's German Legion, and Hanoverian Hussars from 1808 to 1815. Within the variants, there are included the very tall early fur cap used by the British during the first years of the Peninsular, and strange peakless castor cap which seems to have been an emergency replacement for it before the peaked shako came in. The later are also included along with the shorter fur cap, which made its appearance in 1812.

Why make hussars first, and not, say, dragoons? Well, these are the only British cavalry whose uniform didn't change (apart from the headgear) throughout the whole war. This, of course, doesn't mean there won't be dragoons……
