Hundvig Fezian is not a real big fan of pre-painted minis, and he positively despises randomly-packed "collectable" ones - so why is he writing this article?

Laser-Cut Ship Bases

There are three sizes for each ship token in Star Wars: Armada for normal ships. Look on Google for what size ship base you have before cutting.

I cut on cheap 2mm balsa wood from Amazon for pennies. You'll see that these fit perfect!

When you build ship lists on star-forge, it will give you the ship bases to print. Use the actual size with no resizing when you print. Use the highest quality and DPI. When you cut out, use an exacto knife to cut out the middle. Paint white glue onto the ship bases paper with a small paintbrush for maximum glue cover. Put ship printouts on each side if you want, but it may be a little tight. If you use linen paper to print on, it feels just like FFG tokens, but it will be too thick to put on both sides. To get the same feel and durability, use Deco Art paper varnish on normal paper. Make sure you give a few hours to dry, glue, and a few hours to dry varnish before putting on base or touching.
