CSS Wilmington

A 3Dmodel file representing the Confederate ironclad CSS Wilmington. She was designed by John L Porter and built at the city whose name she bore. She was 90% complete when Wilmington fell to Union forces. Her role, if completed, would have been to engage unarmored vessels of the Union blockading squadron, maintaining access for blockade runners to reach safe harbor.

The model is scaled to 1:600, and prints well at 1:1200 on a resin printer.
