Beautiful figures and painting. I do not do ACW in 28mm, but those figures in the second picture will do nicely for civilians in my John Brown at Harpers Ferry game. Also perhaps for post-Civil War conflicts such as the Battle at Northfield. I would have to paint shoes on them, however :)

Crusader Miniatures have long had a very small selection of ACW infantry in their 28mm metal range.

This year, they are expanding it into a full range.

ACW infantry

The first seven new packs are with us now here.

ACW infantry

These first packs give your infantry more pose variety. There are skirmishers, which can be used for either skirmishers or firing lines, and advancing/charging figures.

130th Infantry

There is also a group of ne'er-do-wells titled Dismounted Bushwhackers that can be used for all manner of irregulars.

We have put together some unit deals for the ACW infantry. There are three choices – a Confederate, a Union, and a special Fighting 69th deal.

With the Confederate and Union deals, you choose the uniform and pose you want the figures to be in. Just let us know when you place the order. The Fighting 69th represents the New York 69th Infantry. It comes as a marching regiment and includes some unique figures. All three Unit Deals come with flags supplied by Flags of War.

Look out for more uniform variants, artillery, and cavalry coming out as the year goes on.

I've personally being painting a lot of Crusader Miniatures ACW recently, and I've shared my painting methods in a small article we have in our online magazine. You can read it here.
