VAB Transport Platoon

VAB Transport Platoon

The French infantry section can field the VAB 4 x 4 armored personnel carrier. The VAB provides space to transport ten men, and is armed with a 12.7mm (.50 cal) heavy machinegun for fire support.

VAB Mephisto Anti-tank Platoon

The VAB Mephisto (VCAC – Véhicule de Combat Anti-Char) is an anti-tank vehicle that mounts the Franco-German HOT anti-tank guided missile system. This powerful wire-guided anti-tank missile is capable of knocking out any Warsaw Pact tank from outside the tank's effective gun range.

Infantry Platoon

Infantry Platoon

The French Infantry platoon can either be transported in AMX-10Ps or the VAB wheeled transport. Each platoon is equipped with an array of weapons, making them capable of achieving any mission, from FAMAS assault rifles and 7.62mm NF1 machineguns to 89mm LRAC (Lance-Roquettes AntiChar de 89mm modèle F1) reusable rocket launchers.

Milan Section

Milan Section

French VAB-mounted infantry battalions have 24 Milan anti-tank guided-missile teams available in support. These Milan teams can be allocated out to individual companies to give them the integrated anti-tank support that they would otherwise be missing. All of these missiles make French infantry difficult to roll over.
