Jolly Baccus Away Day - nothing at all to do with better sex partners, I'm afraid!
Thanks to all who turned out last Saturday for the second Baccus Open Day. A full house for both morning and afternoon sessions sampled some really nice beer, soaked in some Sheffield sunshine, and learned a lot about how things work behind the scenes at Baccus. Before, during and after each session I was given a thorough grilling about the plans for future releases and developments, to which I gave full and complete answers, some of which were even true.
Both myself and Igor the caster had a great day, and it was really nice to get the chance to chat to people outside of the sometimes frenzied atmosphere of a wargames show. If you missed the two Open Days this time round, don't despair, we're definitely up for doing more in the future.
We've had some very spiffy new buildings in from the lads at Timecast. These have been designed with the Franco-Prussian War in mind, being based on painting of St Privat, but will work very nicely for periods well before and well after the 1870s. As usual, these are available with the Polemos-style base-and-plinth system. The work on the bases is especially nice on these models, and will make a very impressive addition to the tabletop. No pictures yet, as I only got them in last Friday, but I'll post them as soon as I can. For more details, go to the Baccus site and look under Scenics in the Products section, and then scroll down to the Western Europe section.
What the attendees at the Open Day did get to see is that the WOTR is not just a sick joke being played by me on all you lot out there. It is progressing steadily. Just to delight/tease/wind you up even more, here's a picture of a little group of Yorkist billmen.

And perhaps something to really get some of you chattering, there's also a picture of a little something that may give you a hint about some very different future releases....

With the July days flitting away in blazing sunshine, the inevitability of my annual trip to Edinburgh looms ever closer, so here's a reminder to anyone wanting a pre-order for Claymore to get in touch as soon as possible.
