The author assumes that you already love this era and have a good understanding of the weapons and tactics of the legion. The author wanted first of all to convey the spirit of the era and make excellent game soldiers. That's why they are a bit pompous, cinematic and stereotypical. And that's why they are made in a mirror style – both sides are equally informative and pleasant. Don't be too strict about the historicity of tabletop game reconstructions.
