von Winterfeldt writes:

in my view yes, you could do it like AB – who just makes seemingly with a pin a prick – and creates a sort of illusion with works well, I did not paint any gaiter buttons on my last batches of 18 mm figures at all – neither those for the cuff flaps.

Bavarian in Rumford

Bavarian

I sculpted a trooper doll for the Bavarians in Rumford set, but seemingly all proportions are wrong. Only the sabre is good. Even resculpting won't help, I must start a new one.

Von Winterfeldt: Hessian is better now? I added more sleeve, so cuffs are not so Swedish anymore. Also belt, does it seem a little wider now? I added material to the upper right part of belt.

Also here is L-size doll with corrected leg contours. Much better, I think.
