In the darkness of the new moon, Caterina da Padua watched the fat merchant's house from a nearby rooftop. The family claimed descent from the fabled Polos, so tomorrow Caterina saw herself purchasing linens from Constantinople, paying from her newly filled strongbox. Tonight, that shipment of gem stones would be hers, penance for the sins of greed and pride. Never boast, not within Caterina's hearing. Best of all, her victim tonight would never suspect the villain, Venice's famed thief Midnight Rose, la signora de la notte, was their own beautiful neighbor.
Venice Merchant Prince

Venice: Merchant Prince is not the Venice of merchant princes or romantic gondoliers. Its buildings represent the merchant elite of the Serene Republic. Don't think of double-dealing Doges or romantic gondoliers. Instead, smell the stench of corpse-filled canals, and dodge the bodies left by thugs or disease.

The core building stands over twelve inches high with roof and chimneys, with a four by six inch footprint. You have a choice of three textures: raw brick, beige, or yellow. There's a narrow balcony, an impressive entrance, stairs, and an assortment of windows for both the family and servant quarters. Pop the roof off, and the building can be collapsed to save storage space.

Remember, every Finger and Toe model comes with smoosh assurance: if ya'll smoosh your Venice: Merchant Prince, a new one waits your summons from hard drive and printer.

Venice: Merchant Prince is available from wargamevault.com for $7.00 USD.
