The January 2019 issue of Wargames Illustrated is available now. As always, the magazine comes in three different formats: Print, Interactive (for iPad) and PDF – as part of a WIPrime membership.
The print issue again comes packaged with a free plastic model frame. Some magazines come packaged with a United States PT Boat, the others with 16 torpedoes, both for use in Warlord's Cruel Seas naval combat game.
The theme for this issue is pre-gunpowder 'Empire Building' and we present four articles that take in gaming with some historical heavyweights, in the form of the Romans, Persians, Malians and Genghis Khan.
We also include a guide for painting Cruel Seas motor-torpedo boats and making mines for the same game. Designers Notes for Albedo Combat Patrol, Race across Idlib Province, check out a Arnhem World War Two game played in Arnhem, and take a look at some cutting-edge 3Dprinting. All this and much more besides.
Make sure you check out all the animated content in WI375 Interactive, designed specifically for iPad. Which includes an interview with the 4Ground guys.
WI375 print is available from your local hobby retailer, or, in the U.K., from WH Smith. It will go on sale at Barnes and Noble across the U.S.A. as soon as it docks, and can be purchased directly from our webstore as a print or interactive version. And don't forget, WI Prime members can view this issue online now, along with 374 back issues, via the Wargames Illustrated vault. Prime members also have the option to order a free cover gift every month, with just the P&P to pay for.
