Great looking Greeks! But whats really caught my attention are the Neanderthals! These are amazing and long overdue – they would make excellent enemies for my Copplestone Cavemen. Would love to see some more Neanderthals – perhaps a whole warband, shaman and some females. Great stuff!

Lucid Eye

Steve Saleh, North Star's in-house figure designer, has been beavering away evenings and weekends on a new range of figures.

Lucid Eye

Titled Lucid Eye, this is a range of miniatures that Steve has wanted to make, but are not in any North Star schedule.

Lucid Eye

I've let him run with his own ideas and direction with Lucid Eye, & I'll give him space on the North Star website and North Star magazine to share with you what he has in mind for these figures.

Lucid Eye

The initial release is in three parts.

Firstly, there is the VIP range. This is a range of characters, starting with the Alien Rockstar, Time Rider and Dystopian Teenager.

Lucid Eye

Secondly, there is the Savage Core range. This starts with a set of Neanderthals, and Steve plans to expand it into a pulp/adventure range along a Journey to the Earths Core theme.

Lucid Eye

Thirdly, there is the Warbands range. Here Steve has taken some of his favorite historical subjects and designed units to use in wargames armies, the first three being Hoplites, Peltasts and Huaxtecs. As well as 24 figure unit sets, there are four figure reinforcement packs to expand the units or just to buy anyway.

Lucid Eye

All the Lucid Eye miniatures are 28mm-sized, made of metal and supplied unpainted.

Lucid Eye Miniatures will debut at Salute 2014 on the Wargames Emporium stand (TC13).

Although the order hasn't been placed, I expect our good friend Lon at Brigade Games United States will be carrying this range for America.
