Baueda: New 28mm Scenery

I've developed a fondness and appreciation over many decades in this hobby for products made of weighty resin, or pewter. Even with custom-made pieces I've made, I use a lot of epoxy putty for basing scenics, or to sculpt/embed details within (which I'm sure in my mind resembles resin in weight and strength and which does in fact).
Recently the the wargaming industry has embraced MDF parts-products or multi-part plastic figures. These most always require assembly time, and in regards to figures, and after one puts the figures together produces a light-weight miniature that lacks some of the durability of traditional metal figures, and which I can now relate, can become more brittle and prone to breakage over time.
As I've now transitioned to making teddy bear fur mats, I have realized the superior usefulness of weighty scenics or pewter figures that stay upright, and rest convincingly on top of [within] a fur-mat's landscape, which light-weight plastic figures and products often don't achieve.
I'm happy traditional wargame products still made from resin and pewter continue to be made, and although I could also [and do] make custom-made scenics too, I will still buy things off the shelf, so I can get something quickly into a game, and also down-deep feel I'm sending support to manufacturers that market products made of materials I still prefer.
I'm sure these opinions could be a discussion topic for a forum thread, but I'll instead take this opportunity to applaud a little for hobby products I'll still appreciate (and those indirectly, that I don't).
