Claudia is exceedingly professional in her approach, and last time she glided effortlessly through the whole thing – unlike some of those following her about like lost puppies!

Mongoose Hall 07 - Aug 4th

Mongoose Open Day

August 4th, 2007, is the date for our biggest-ever Open Day! So big, in fact, that we've had to shift it out of the usual studio location and take over the main sports hall at the Croft Centre in Swindon.

That means even more games, and even more fun. The usual Mongoose trade stand will be there, of course, and there will be tournaments for both A Call to Arms (1st edition) and Battlefield Evolution.

Miss Christian

Guest of Honour will be B5's own Claudia Christian, who - as well as doing signings, photos and the usual stuff - will once more be taking part in a very special B5 RPG session, playing her old character, Ivanova, of course!

We also have the Kerakhistan Race of Death, a fest of Technical racing with a healthy touch of Death Race 2000 thrown in for good measure. There will be a special prize for the most pimped-up Technical - although if you don't want to bring your own Technical, we will have plenty on hand. There will also be a neat little prize for the overall race winner!

Add to that Conan, RuneQuest, Elric and Paranoia RPG sessions, plus a B5 ACTA Bring & Battle table, and you have a full day of fun and frivolity ahead. More details will follow, have no fear.

Entry to the tournaments and the Babylon 5 game with Claudia is by advanced booking, costing £5.00 GBP per place, with numbers strictly limited on a first-come, first-served basis. The B5 ACTA tournament will be 5-point Raid level, and the Battlefield Evolution tournament will be 1,500 points using army-list limits from the Advanced Rulebook. Contact Ian Barstow at ibarstow@mongoosepublishing.com for tournament packs or further details.

Entry is free to anybody producing a single D10 dice (no, we won't keep it), or £5.00 GBP on the door if you come without a dice. This shouldn't prove much of a problem to you!
