As much money as I spent at AoW this past weekend, I feel like a part owner! : ) Enjoyed the painting competition, even if I did not win it is still fun to see what other people brought. I have to say I was impressed with all of the entries. There were some very nicely painted figures in all the categories. I thumbed through all my Perry Russian Napoleonics on Monday and the detail is astounding. Finally, kudos to Barb and Ernie for a tremendous line of terrain and figures. They are now my favorite army supply point. Next year, I will be bringing a huge 28mm Siege of Yorktown game which will run all weekend. It will feature many of the AWI Perry figures I have purchased from AoW over the last few years. AoW is my first stop at every convention which they attend.

All of us at Architects of War would like to extend a massive 'thank you' to everyone who came out to Historicon and made this our best show ever! We were overwhelmed by all the support you showed us!

The convention staff and the HMGS staff running the vendor hall did a fabulous job, and we really look forward to going to Fredericksburg again.

Overall winner

Congratulations to John Miller on winning the first-ever Perry Miniatures Painting Contest with his amazing Henry V Regiment. It was truly spectacular. Here is a picture so you can see the time and effort put into it (though it doesn't truly do it justice). Congratulations to all the other winners as well. We were very thrilled to see so many quality entries. We will have a full gallery up on our website this week of the winners.

A big thank you to Joe Moore for running the Saga tournament, Jon Lundberg for his great Saga games, Bob McCaskill for his Carnage and Glory game, Bob Giglio and his Colonial feast, and Miles Reidy for his awesome Hail Caesar game. We appreciate all your support, and hope our sponsorship helped out.

Of course, a huge 'thank you' goes to our customers, who were friendly, excited, and genuinely enthusiastic to be at the show. We are thrilled so many of you came by to say 'hello' and pick up some new models, terrain and supplies. We appreciate your business greatly.

We look forward to Fall In and hearing from many of you soon.

Next week sees the launch of our American Frontier range of buildings, suitable for 1650 up to the ACW. I am even converting a blockhouse for use in my Peninsular War games. Pictures coming soon…
