Baueda: New DBA Army Packs

The list for which the army pack is drafted is indeed 2.0
The reason there are only 21 knights is that at least one of the possible Kn element represent unarmoured horsemen, being these Bretons or those depicted scouting in the Bayeux tapestry and later 11th century manuscripts. The choice of fielding it as Kn reflect the fact that these may have been functionally identical to the other milites, only more lightly equipped but as I understand it there is no discussion on the fact that these were less armoured. The army pack include 8 light cavalry figures (thanks for pointing out my mistake, I did wrote 6!!) so you can make 2x3Cv and 1xLH which is what is needed for the list.

The main reason for the mistake in the number of light cavalry is that there are 6 armed with lances, which you can field as either Kn or Cv. For the sake of clarity this are Code: NRM4

I now corrected the description on the website so it should be all fixed now…

As for 3.0 when the final list will be published I'll make an army pack for that too (dismounted milites and xbows are already in the making) of course!

We have decided not to add DBA army packs to our regular catalog, because Phil has already announced the imminent publication of the new version, and I don't think it is correct to ask retailers to stock a product that is going to become obsolete very soon.

However, since we had some requests along these lines, I decided we can at least leave the option open for customers on our website - so, starting from today, I'm going to add DBA army packs for all the lists we currently support.

First one up right now is Normans:

This DBA army pack contains at least 41 figures (some handy spares are usually included!), of which 21 are mounted knights, including three mounted command figures, and an assortment of horse in over twelve different poses! Also included are six light cavalry figures, eight spearmen, and six archers, enough for all options in the list, plus two tent models and assorted supplies to use as camp.

As soon as the new list will be published, the above will be adjusted if needed, and may then made available through our retail network. For the moment, however, these are only available from our online shop.
