Brigade Games announces:

Viking Age Supplement for Lion Rampant Wargaming Rules

Viking Blood Feud

Viking Blood Feud: Rampant Adventures 1

An expansion for Lion Rampant Medieval Wargaming Rules: Second Edition. It brings to tabletop life the dramatic and evocative blood feuds of the Icelandic sagas, and enables you to create your own saga.

Set in the Viking Age, the Icelandic sagas offer unique glimpses into the everyday lives of relatively ordinary but larger than life characters, who experienced twists of fate, conflicts, and heroic as well as petty deeds, all set in a stunning subarctic landscape on the edge of the habitable world.

Blood feuds play center stage in many sagas. Their violent clashes provide dramatic plot twists, but they are also like thunderclaps in quarrels in which surrounding Icelandic society is spectator and judge. Battlefield victories are often stages of wider games of honor, glory and social standing.

The expansion provides historical lore on Viking Age Iceland and its sagas, and then brings them to your tabletop with suggestions on how to create your warband and bring to life your characters; optional rules and terrain ideas; five stand-alone scenarios; and a campaign system that fleshes out the origins of the feud, determines how scenarios affect your characters, and uses feud actions that determine the direction of the campaign and add complications or temporary advantages.
