A good historical plan, but not a good one for DBA. Bows shoot at a +2, Romans defend at a +5. Bows shoot 200p, Romans move 200P. Consider the Romans are marching ala Testudo toward the Indian lines. Better to hit them with the Cav and Chariots +3 and big guys at +4 to Roman +3 against mounted. Moreover, the Chariots will destroy the Roman blades by just beating them by 1 point.

It wasn't exactly a historical match-up, though I postulated that if Mark Antony had had more success against the Parthians he just might have kept going … OK, it's a long shot!
