Battleground 2014 (formerly Smoggycon) will be taking place on Saturday, November 29th, at the Queen's Campus Sports Hall in Stockton-on-Tees, running from 10AM until 3PM.
Hosted by Pendraken Miniatures along with Middlesbrough Gamers Club. This show was formerly known as Smoggycon, but for 2014, we've got both a new name and a new venue!
Entry to the show is only £3.00 GBP per person. After it proved a success last year, we'll be keeping the free entry for SWMBO (She Who Must Be Obeyed) and free entry for the kids as well (under 14s)!
We've increased the trader selection this year, with 36 companies penciled in at this stage, covering a huge variety of genres and scales.
New traders for 2014 include:
- Bacus 6mm – the 6mm specialist which is offering a wide variety of ranges and accessories for the 6mm gamer.
- Wargames Emporium – is back after being unable to attend in 2013.
- Beanie Girl – a local shop selling a wide selection of games and more.
- Cozzmic Cakes – is bringing an element of sugary fun to the day with their themed cakes.
We've also got a great selection of display and participation games lined up, encompassing wargaming, modelling and RPGing.
The Flea Market is a great option for any unwanted goodies, where for only £1.00 GBP per half-hour slot. You can sell as much as you like, with no commission at all! You can deal directly with the buyers, answer any questions they may have, and also keep an eye on your goods. Once your time is up (or better still, you've sold everything), you can walk away, cash in hand, and enjoy the rest of the show! The Flea Market was booked up all day last year, so make sure to book in advance if possible!
