This scenario represents the situation on the battlefield on April 6th, with the Union center under Generals Wallace, Hurlbut and Prentiss being furiously assaulted by the Confederates under General Albert Sidney Johnston. How will your command fare in a refight of The Hornet's Nest?
This mat will work best with 6mm, 10mm and 15mm figures using grand-tactical rules. The mat's ground scale is approximately 1" = 60 to 80 yards, and covers the action from Woolf Field on the Confederate left, across the Hamburg-Purdy Road, to the area around the Locust Grove Branch on the Confederate right. The Union position is centered around Duncan Field, Peach Orchard, and Larkin Bell's Field.
This mat is will fold up into a backback and is easily transportable to your local club or hobby shop! Just put it out on the table, smooth out by hand, and add your troops and additional terrain! This mat will provide you and your friends hours of gaming excitement. Even though this mat is based on Shiloh, it is, of course, also usable for other periods like: FIW, AWI, 1812, WWII, etc.
