This is the sixth Wargamers' Annual and in addition, this year has seen the first Summer Special. None of this would be possible without the support of those who contribute to the Annual. As regular readers will know, the only reward the contributors receive is to see their work in print. As the articles come in, I am regularly surprised by the variety, ingenuity and knowledge of our writers.

In addition to the articles, the vignette challenge has been warmly received, and I am pleased with the response, and I am delighted to present more vignettes to inspire.

I am particularly pleased that with 2014 marking the 100th anniversary of the start of "The Great War," there is an intriguing and unusual WWI scenario in this Annual.

This year's issue contains:

  • Lost in France by Kevin Calder
  • The Goatherder's Graveyard by Dale Smith
  • Rioting in New Alexandria by Stuart Asquith
  • The Case of Mr. Playfair's Woeful Big Participation Games by Bill Protz
  • Paint More Attractive Tabletop Armies by Stokes Schwartz
  • Cavalry of A Bygone Era Part 2 by Bob Marrion
  • Boxing Day Every Day (Boxing Clever) by Dale Smith
  • The King's Vengeance by Barry Hilton
  • The Vignette Challenge
  • A Multi-Player Club Game by C.S. Grant
  • How to… Make a Petard Crew by C.S. Grant
