Gary Hunt Miniatures: "At Last, Sculpting Some Middle Earth Minis!"

Hi, yes thanks John T for answering the question of scale. an average human male would be approximately 60mm, Elrond is approximately 62mm at 1/30th scale.

My personal ranges are sculpted in 28-32mm and 54mm but the Consumer products manager at Weta is a keen collector of King and Country, hence the 1/30th scale. There are certainly plenty of skirmish rules for 1/32nd scale (54mm) I'm sure they could be use for 60mm figs if one wanted to.

I'd be happy to sculpt 28mm Lotr but I guess GW have had that covered for quite some time.

Cheers all for your interest..

So at long last, Weta Workshop has got me working on a range of 1:30th scale Hobbit/LotR figures. The first ones are up for pre-order on the Weta site and come pre-painted (there's also an environment to put them in). I'm sure many collectors will find some skirmish game rules that these guys can fit into. These are not Gary Hunt Miniatures, but Weta Workshop's (I couldn't afford the license!). Anyway, it was fun, and we managed to put heaps of detail in… hopefully, we'll have more to show you soon.

Elrond

I'll also have some new releases, on my site garyhuntminiatures.com and on ZombieSmith, coming soon.
