Brunswickers 1815 part 1
Publisher: Walkerloo Toy Soldiers
Walkerloo 1:32 scale DIY miniatures. About 10cm tall. Expressive paper soldiers for wargaming, toy playing, and very nice displays…
Although the Life Guards to the Duke of Brunswick, the Lieb-Battalion were not the most experienced of the Brunswick troops, but they look great in their black kit. Alas, the Duke was killed by a musket ball leading them at Quatre Bras. The Jaegers, often veterans of the Peninsular War and experienced skirmishers, also fought at both Quatre Bras and Waterloo. Don't they have smashing hats!
This set has 13 different figures from the two units. The seven figures of the Lieb Battalion are posed for their particular double-rank firing line. The six skirmish figures are posed for looser order scrambling and paired firing.
These two units are the first of a new type of print-fantry paper soldier. The result of a collaboration between battle re-enactors and myself. They include the portraits of their commissioning patrons. I hope this will be the first of many specially commissioned print-fantry units. Hussar!
The figures have black surrounds, and there is a detailed earth sheet for figure bases. The PDF sheets include the mirror reflections and fold lines to enable easy construction.
