Who is the arseclown?

Well, he said there's a couple posted on the discussion. As the only two who've said anything contrary to the line that this is all great it'd have to be me & Abwehrschlacht. Be grateful if nazrat would clarify.

As to always having something bad to say about BF I think that's a bit of an over statement. My only other "anti-BF" comment has been to point out that you could get Mark IVs cheaper from Peter Pig, and he's been supporting the period longer and with a wider range of products.

I mostly object to the typo on the front of the box. It can't be hard to have the right war listed on the front of the box, given the picture.

I've got small amounts of BF stuff but generally I find that cost and quality can be beaten elsewhere if you are prepared to look. That's isn't for everyone I know as many want to use only official BF stuff. That's fine, if that's how you want to spend your money. On the other hand the point about free market capitalism is that you spend your cash where you get the best value and that stops us all being overcharged.

The other point I made about making your own terrain is that I did use to buy ready made terrain, and still do for most buildings. It wasn't until I actually tried making my own roads, rivers, hills etc (partly inspired by taking old wardrobes apart and having a lot of hard board/mdf/ply left over afterwards) that I realised how easy it is.

I suppose if all you ever saw were pre-painted figures you might think it was too hard to do your own until you tried it.

Shattered Battlefield (BB183)

Many battlefields had woods that were either utterly destroyed by shelling and fighting, or cleared to provide a field of fire for machineguns. These woods still provide some cover.
