Okay, it's only a small sensation...
In a bid to stave off the End of the World as We Know It, the U.K. Government has deemed that the rate of VAT should be reduced from 17.5% to 15%. I've been gamely working on this for the last couple of days, and I'm now glad to be able to say that the change in rate has been applied across the board. Now is the time - come and get those wonderful bargains!
For those of you who aren't resident in the EU, there is no real change, apart from the fact that now is a good time to buy in terms of exchange rates as the U.K.£ does a graceless swallow dive into the deep end of the exchange rate pool.
One set of prices do have to go up. I'm afraid that there are price increases on most of the scenic items. These should have been put in place back in the summer, but I'm no longer able to hold them off and now seemed as good a time as any to get them up. This is only on these items supplied to us from TimeCast.
I suppose that it's now the time to remind all and sundry about our handy Baccus Gift Vouchers. These are very useful things at this time of the year, and just the ticket for relatives who are stuck for what to go get you and don't really fancy doing a crash course on the intricacies of 6mm wargaming.
More details can be found on the Baccus site.
Finally for today, just a reminder to all of those in the North of England that this coming Saturday, we'll be attending our final show of the year at Recon in Pudsey. All stock will be at the new super-low post-VAT slashing prices, so come along and help myself and Igor as we try and earn a crust or two for Christmas. We'll also have the Leipzig-Lite game with us, and that's worth the entry fee by itself.
