Flash removal is the issue with metals. Assembly is the issue with hard plastics. Neither is effortless, although cleanly cast metal figures are sometimes obtained. Assembly is unavoidable with the hard plastics.

Just thought we'd draw your attention to the fact that the new plastic 28mm WWII U.S. infantry are up on our website for pre-order (perry-miniatures.com). They will be available for those attending Salute (although please don't pre-order for Salute! We'll have plenty there!) and mailed out early the following week to those who can't get there.

Big Red One Deal

As you might notice, there is also the Big Red One deal, which includes a free metal model of General George S. Patton and an aide, when you buy three boxes. We are at stand TE04 at Salute, come and say 'hello'!

The box contains 42 figures, enough to represent a full-strength platoon of three squads plus HQ. There are also two additional Browning .30 cals for extra support, should you need them. As well as all the Garands and BARs you need, there are a variety of optional weapons like M1 Carbines, Thompsons, Springfields with grenade launcher and Springfield with scope, grease guns, and the M1A1 Bazooka. All wear the second pattern 'Parsons' jacket, although disliked by the GI, worn from Operation Torch, Tunisia, Sicily, the landings in Italy and Normandy through to the end of the war by some units.

At Salute, we'll also be showing new plastics in the pipeline.
