Shapeways Introduces Flexible 3D Printing

Back to Hobby News

I've been waiting for the next generation of this tech as the materials used are odd (as the sandy finish comment illustrates above or not sandy too easy to break) and the detail still not where it will be one day. It's just not quite what it needs to be for the cost in my opinion. Not so much the flex but all the 3d tech. Almost there, not quite as good as it will be with next gen printers and materials.

We Can't Believe It's Not Rubber

Flexible 3D printing

Flex your creativity and start experimenting today!

We just launched our first fully flexible material for 3D printing. This is our only material that is made to bend, and from what we can tell, the only highly flexible 3D printed material accessible for everyone.

Elasto Plastic is still experimental, so put on your lab coat, check out the design rules and start playing!
