Really like these and a lot of the other non-Roman Hail Caesar stuff. They all look smallish and a bit flat to me, however. How would they look next to Foundry/Copplestone Darkest Africa figures or paired up with Foundry Persians?

Paul at Warlord Games Sponsoring Member of TMP of Warlord Games writes:

We've recently had our Kushite range repainted, and to celebrate, we've put together a great-value army deal…

Kushite War Party army deal

This Kushite War Party army deal contains:

  • Kushite King and Chieftains
  • Kushite Spearmen regiment (20 models, including command)
  • Kushite Clubmen regiment (20 models, including command)
  • 16 Kushite Archers

You can buy the Kushite War Party deal here.

The most striking feature of the Kushites is their vermilion-and-white body paint, which they adorned themselves with before battle. Body paint still plays an important part in African tribal cultures. White and red can represent life, death, protection and aggression. Described by Herodotus as the tallest and most beautiful people in the world, the Kushites must have been an intimidating opponent.

We've also had the rest of our complete range of Kushites painted – check them out:

Whilst these were designed for Ancients games such as Hail Caesar, there is nothing stopping you using them in games set in Darkest Africa or Pulp games!
