For the last few weeks, I was feverishly occupied with testing my new TrollFactory silicone for new molds. I am very satisfied. It is like the transition from enamel paints to acrylic paints, all is easier and quicker. No need for ultra-precise measurement devices anymore. And molds seem to be more durable also.
First set of second-generation 1:100 scale horses are cast. Standing-walking line cavalry horses with docked tails. Next set will be with the same horses, but with long tails. Price for new horses is determined by their average weight – €1.60 EUR per horse.
The set of Guard Cossacks have horses at last, all figures are lightly resculpted to fit with the new horses, and have now new lances. All figures can now be purchased separately, and a new Black Sea Sotnya Trooper is added.
Also with new horses, re-equipped Prussian Towarczys, Krakuzens, and French Eclaireurs.
A French Revolutionary line officer and 10mm horses are also molded and cast, but not available yet.
My efforts to create a special form of mold for figures with straight pikes/pontoons failed. I can use this mold form for masters, but not for production. Production molds must be easy to use. So for the Suvorov Command set, I must use my usual way of casting – with bent pikes.
Also, I have a new 10mm set available now – Russian Grenadiers 1811-1815.
Next, I will create a mold with dolls for further sets. Also, I am packing boxes with my 1:72 plastic figure collections for sale. I probably will never paint them, as I can create for myself all the figs I need in smaller scales now.
