Hello, chaps!
Squadron Leader Featherprop here of 127 (Wakefield) Squadron, Royal Atkins Air Force.
V2 of Blazing Skies rises from the rocket pad today with updated graphics, new kites, new templates, and a little bit of tweaking with the very laws of physics themselves!
Blazing Skies is a miniature combat game of aerial warfare set between 1928 and 1950. It is designed with 1:72 or 1:144 scale aircraft in mind. Each player takes the pilot role of a single airplane. Each model represents a single Kite and its crew.
Blazing Skies is not your usual air wargame where you might as well be driving a car around a flat table. It has a physics model that causes the machines to behave similar (I say similar…) to their counterparts. Screaming dives may rip off the wings to convert energy into a slingshot back up above the bomber stream.
Flying an Avro Manchester? Then watch out for overheating engines! Flying a Lightning? Use your awesome engine power to maintain the advantage. Tightly turning in a Bf109? Watch out for the slats snatching open!
This is a true-3D game where you must use every advantage of speed and position to win through!
It's Completely Free, as Well!
