On Saturday, June 22, 2013, we will be holding a full-day gaming event, to help one of our customers who has lost a leg.
Proceeds raised during this event will help him with the cost of purchasing a prosthetic device.
Entry fee for the day of gaming is $20 USD for adults, and $10 USD for kids.
Karl will be doing his usual fare of goodies during our cook-out, while you take a break from pushing minis and rolling dice.
At 10AM and again at 1PM, we will offer 15mm chariot racing on a huge twelve-foot-long Circus Maximus stadium.
Throughout the day there will be 54mm Gladiator duels, Dreadball games, Star Wars X-Wing fighter games, and Zombiecide games.
Maybe take part in the day two re-fight of Gettysburg in 15mm, using the Black Powder ruleset.
Also throughout the day, we will be having a 'become an Ace' event using Wings of Glory, and then one huge, final blow-out game later in the afternoon.
A 40K Kill Team 200-point event will take place as well – 15 spots available.
This will be a very unique game of 40K. I will ask for a few volunteers to run the "bad guys." The rest of the players will enter on a board-edge. Their goal is to be the one team who has a survivor make it off of the planet.
As the game progresses, sections of the board will be destroyed as the planet breaks apart. Players need merely to reach the other end of the battlefield and get to Da Choppa to escape.
Along the way will be all sorts of creatures. You can team up with whoever's warband is around to take down a monster, or scurry away while the large beasts are "pre-occupied" with one of your fellow gamers.
All hope is not lost, as along the way will be a sprinkling of special gear to help you reach your destination.
This promises to a be fun-filled day of gaming, and everyone that comes to play will know that they have also helped out a fellow gamer.
