Just realized that the game area may get cluttered with playing cards. Are the suits important, or just the numbers. Could it be played with just small, numbered chits of different colors for each side?

To the Strongest!

To the Strongest! is a new set of Ancient and Medieval wargaming rules that have been designed to run both small games played with 15mm miniatures on a 4' by 3' kitchen table, and huge games with ten players and 3,000 or so 28mm miniatures on a table 20' wide. The rules are uncomplicated, and yet provide seasoned gamers with a challenging battle that can comfortably be concluded in an evening. They also have a high degree of suitability for solo play.

To the Strongest! battle

Most unusually for a tabletop wargame, neither measures nor dice are used in a game of To the Strongest! Units move on a nearly-invisible square grid. With no need for measurement nor wheeling, each game proceeds at a cracking pace! The grid also enables figures based for different rule systems to be used together on the same battlefield. Dice are replaced by common playing cards. It turns out to be faster to play a series of cards than to pick up and roll a die; and exciting, too!

To the Strongest! is written in plain English, with lots of descriptions for those new to the hobby, and no jargon. Examples of play and diagrams are used to illustrate key concepts, and the rules are richly illustrated with photos of beautifully painted wargames figures and battles.

It is available for download for a price of £9.99 GBP from bigredbatshop.co.uk.
